It is not towb that man should be alone. Towb means good, beneficial, pleasant, agreeable, best, precious, prosperity, wealth, valuable, Happy, becoming... Men and women were never intended to live out their lives in loneliness, alone.
"I will make him an help meet (ezer k'negdo) for him." First, there is no such word in Hebrew as a "helpmeet," or its derivative the "helpmate." There are, however, two Hebrew words that have been translated into the phrase "help meet". Ezer has been translated as help and k'negdo has been translated as meet, or an English word for suitable. This does not really carry the full meaning of the Hebrew phrase.
An ezer is someone who rushes to give succor. k'negdo is a counterpart. I feel that I am an ezer when I rush to succor, support, and encourage my husband in the ways of the Lord. I become a k'negdo when I opposed his "natural man" tendency, by being an ezer. So, daily I am prayerful and looking for ways I can be an ezer k'negdo I was created to be.
