Simple Sunday- A Day to Rejuvenate

I went to church this morning and came home during Sunday School to check on my daughter.  She was home in bed sick. I placed a roast in the oven to cook slowly while we were at church.  I returned in time for the Relief Society lesson on Family Responsibilities.
I particularly liked the story about how a group of men were trying to move a piano, they struggled to figure out how best to lift it. One man suggested they gather around the piano, shoulder to shoulder, and lift where they stand.  It worked. Families are like that.  We need to stand in our place as father, mother, and children and do what we can to lift the family.

I made a stirfry lunch.  Then I rested. A friend called and asked about a Goff family name she came across doing family history. I attempted to do some family history and found that the line she had went back to Virginia in the 1790s.  On my father's side I have a Goff line back that far in Virginia.  No connection to my friend's work or my husband's line yet!

Our home teachers came and we were taught a lesson of Hope. I needed to think on Hope!

Roger and I took an evening stroll and  stopped at a friend to catch up on how she was doing.  It began to rain pretty hard, so her husband shuttled us home.
