This morning was the annual Independence Day Weekend neighborhood pancake breakfast in the park.
My daughter Julia, and her husband, Rory, and their daughter "Bella" joined us about noon. Julia an I removed the lids, wiped the rims with vinegar, got bottles in the canner and turned on the heat. Roger watched the venting and recanning of the chicken. The rest of us went to the Freedom Festival. We returned just as the bottles were coming out of the canner.
I fixed us dinner and then I filled more jars with the chicken from the fridge and began a late batch of chicken.
