WWW. Womanly Wednesday- Quality, Not Quantity

I was so excited to get started on my projects.  I look forward to this time of creativity. I stopped at JoAnne's Fabric store and purchased more green binding tape and green thread.

I went to Lenore's and finished the pockets, then had to use the seam ripper to do it again. Then I pinned the bias tape on to the apron, carefully pinning it in place. Then I began to sew the apron.  When I got to the end, I realized I put the bias tape on backward and had to pick out the seam.

In times past, sewing was hard because any time I was doing a project, I was running against a deadline. Seam ripping was almost always certain, because when I am in a rush, I can easily skip steps. Though I was frustrated today and disappointed today, I new I could solve the problems next Wednesday.  No projects finished today! I am glad I structured the time, but was not driven by structuring the content to be done today with an arbitrary deadline. I would have most assuredly crossed the line into the zone of proximal development (ZPD) and wigged out. Not imposing a deadline today gives me the space to work on quality, and to do things again, if that is what it takes to end up with a quality project. When it comes to quantity, slow and steady wins the race!
